There is other socket sets slightly cheaper
than this with 'strenthened steel', but this is high
quality chrome vandium(last forever), with just
about everything you need to repair a car.
The wrenches are superb quality and the
mechanism is very good. -
I am happy to recommend these as I’ve
saved around £100 from going to a
garage. I’m not a mechanic just a general
diy person who likes to save a few
pounds and this certainly saved me
a few. Can only reiterate these do
the job and do it well, thank you. -
Great thing to have in an emergency.
These sockets work GREAT for removing
stuck rounded bolts. They're super useful
to have as a last resort. After using a few
times, they feel as good as new, so the
materials feel like they're going to last. -
This set has already paid for itself. I used it
to remove the sump plug from my mrs 2005
mini cooper. whoever worked on it before
must have done it up with an air gun, and I
mangled the head of the bolt trying to get it
out with this standard socket. -
The tool bites into the head of the bolt as
you turn it. After i removed the bolt from the
tool, the bolt was mangled but the tool didn't
even have scratch on it. I would really
recommend these for this type of job. -
I used these to remove a worn sump
plug on a Honda CRV, socket went on
quick using a lump hammer and removed
the nut almost effortlessly, the socket
doesn’t even look like it’s been used,
not so much as a scratch from the
lump hammer on it. Highly recommend,
solid and impressive. -
I felt the socket bite nicely into the head
of the bolt and I used a 450mm breaker bar
with some considerable force to get the bolt
to shift, all the while expecting the socket to
shatter, or at least crack. The socket looks
undamaged by the experience, so I'm well
impressed by the quality and value of this
handy little set. -
Got one of these that was a nice fit,
hit it a couple of taps and used my
impact wrench to remove the bolt.
Surprised how fast and easy it was
and it got a hard grip on that stuck
bolt which is virtually perfectly round
shape. Impressive stuff, really glad to
have this nice selection of sizes available. -
This is one of those purchases that
I'm glad I've made as it would have
saved so much trouble in the first
place if I'd already had it in the
garage waiting. can't recommend highly
enough just based on that. -
This is not something that will be used
everyday and I may never use all of the bits
but is comforting to have the set in the
workshop. I needed one of the small
extractors to take out a damaged hardened
security screw. This nut extractor just bit into
the screw head and the screw unscrewed
really easily.
